I forgot I had sushi in the fridge. Maybe that’ll be a late night snack. In the meantime dinner will be tater rounds with gravy and sharp cheddar.

Yup. The last time I made a similar dish, even though I never said it was the ‘P’ word, just fries with gravy and cheese , I got reamed for even invoking that word. I must have really pissed of the Québécois somehow whilst trying to avoid that very issue...

Yeah we take our poutine seriously here. One of our local poutine place claims to have the worlds best, they say it on their sign so that must be right.
My favorite in town is from from the mall though.
Real poutine is made with curds, but I have also used grated cheese(don’t tell)

I’ve been going to regular markets, not specialty out gourmet shops (unemployed and broke and thus I gotta be cheap), so getting curds is of the table for now. I already had the cheese and gravy, so it was just $1.39 for the taters.
